Clutter Suppression for Wideband Radar STAP

چکیده
Traditional space-time (ST) adaptive processing (STAP) theory is based on the assumption of narrowband or “zero-bandwidth,” where decorrelation within ST snapshot ignored. However, with radar bandwidths increasing, this becomes invalid due to deteriorated received signals snapshot. The directly causes dispersion in both spatial and temporal domains, leading spreading clutter spectrum 2-D frequency (Doppler-spatial frequency) domain. With spectrum, suppression notch traditional STAP filters widened, resulting a relative poor ability detect slow-moving targets. In article, we focus for wideband STAP. A generalized signal model ground first established array radar. Using outcome, analyze influence bandwidth characteristics quantitatively describe Doppler-spatial plane. Moreover, covariance matrix (W-STAP) established. Finally, keystone transform (KT) algorithm, referred as KT (ST-KT), proposed eliminate domain caused by increasing bandwidths. Range ambiguity clutter suppression for bistatic STAP radar
Bistatic pulse-Doppler airborne radar has desirable properties such as the low probability of detection by other radars relative to its monostatic counterpart. However, the clutter characteristics of bistatic airborne radar are more complex than those of monostatic airborne radar. The clutter spectra not only vary severely with range, but also vary with bistatic configuration. In this article, ...
متن کاملSlow Radar Target Detection in Heterogeneous Clutter using Thinned STAP
We address the problem of slow target detection in heterogeneous clutter through dimensionality reduction. Traditional approaches of implementing the space-time adaptive processing (STAP) require a large number of training data to estimate the clutter covariance matrix. In order to address the issue of limited training data especially in the heterogeneous scenarios, we propose a novel thinned S...
متن کاملAirborne Radar STAP using Sparse Recovery of Clutter Spectrum
Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is an effective tool for detecting a moving target in spaceborne or airborne radar systems. Statistical-based STAP methods generally need sufficient statistically independent and identically distributed (IID) training data to estimate the clutter characteristics. However, most actual clutter scenarios appear only locally stationary and lack sufficient IID t...
متن کاملWideband Radar Target Detection Theory in Coherent K Distributed Clutter
The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of neglecting K distributed clutter texture on wideband radar distributed targets detection. At first, the texture and the speckle of K clutter are researched and the Probability Density Function (PDF) of K clutter and its texture are derived, then the optimal detector by Neyman-Pearson (NP) is proposed, by contrast, another detector-Suboptimum ...
متن کاملAdaptation of Rejection Algorithms for a Radar Clutter
In this paper, the algorithms for adaptive rejection of a radar clutter are synthesized for the case of a priori unknown spectral-correlation characteristics at wobbulation of a repetition period of the radar signal. The synthesis of algorithms for the non-recursive adaptive rejection filter (ARF) of a given order is reduced to determination of the vector of weighting coefficients, which realiz...
